Following on from my fathers business which was established in 1956 and with a long career in watch and clockmaking this business is now dedicated to selling and restoring all aspects of antique clocks and pocket watches.

By arrangement we can visit your home to discuss a clock in situ with a view to bring the joy of ownership back to a good and reliable working condition with all aspects of the restoration process considered.

We also work with our partners in restoration and can offer the complete package as required. The expertise of careful furniture restoration, dial painting and gilding are common considerations along with the mechanics of the clock mechanism which we undertake in our fully equipped workshop here in Cupar.

Please do not hesitate to contact us.

History

Over 65 years in Cupar

Our family-run business began with my father, Thomas Young , who after leaving school in 1947 took  an apprenticeship as a watchmaker with his Uncle Robert Kemlo of Pittenweem.

Tom finished his apprenticeship with Alex Constable of Kirkcaldy and then served two years of National Service with the RAF as a gun armorer.

Following that Tom opened his own business in 1956 at 90 Bonnygate,  Cupar and over the years he found it necessary to expand the front shop for sales but also the back shop for his ever growing repair demand.

All family members have been involved over the years and I carry on in the name of Thomas Young 1956 with pride and a commitment to provide the service we are long known for.
